Bleeding Heart

Bleeding Heart

A Poem by PP
"

Bigger the smile, Deeper the cut..

"

No one visits the dark alleys
Of screaming voices
and violent disasters..
No one feels the heat of the molten lava
boiling under the chest..
Volcanic eruption of emotions
Waiting to ooze
And make their way through the cracks in the heart..
.......No one notices!

Only the visitor of the dark alley
Walks alone..
Spares not a second
to spend thriftily on
unfulfilled desires, broken dreams and hopeless chase
With a calm repose on the face
guards the outward face..
So that the rest of the world never gets to know
about the secret destination..

A smile on the face hides the
tears of a bleeding heart
Bigger the smile
deeper the cut..

Thank you Orton, inspired by pain..words flow :)
Even those closest to us will never fully know our deepest feelings as we will not know theirs... sometimes we don't even understand ourselves. I really like this one.

Yeah, your last two lines says it all, my friend. There are false faces all around us. Wake up in the morning and pick a face to wear, but for goodness sakes don't you dare put on your honest face, no, never, keep the real you hidden from view . . .

Some people only exist in the light, see the glass half full and won't address the dark side if it smacked them upside the head, we feel as though we need to protect those that see our dark side, so we wear false masks and skewed smiles. Love that last verse, it's a punch in the face, love the entire piece of work really! Magnifico Tink.

destination...drawing away from the rest of the world.
some people just can't handle "dark"---they walk down the middle of the street thinking life should be all positive and everyone should smile...but watch out...they may get hit by a car of destination that will drive them into the dark.
