Escape..

Escape..

A Poem by PP

Escape is never an end -
Running away is easy - from people, places and situations;
But apparently the running has to stop one day
Unless you are a meaningless robot-
That feels no pain, of course!
Running away could be pleasurable at the beginning;
A sense of joy and relief -
'I don't care' attitude,
Only so long before the exhaustion takes over!
Watch your back- because your worries are running behind you
Faster than you thought they could
Keeping up the chase
They will engulf you like a swan of bees-
Its time you stand by, stay strong and fight,
There is no escape--- no matter where you live;
In your little world; virtual or so called real?
Everyone, Everywhere is trapped somehow or somewhere!

You speak the truth loud and clear... I think the biggest thing that traps us is our fears and doubts. Keeping us from achieving our potential or taking chances in life.

The first poem I have read from this poet - a good one, I like the way the tempo of the poem fits the subject, so content and style fit together very well.

Thank you Leslie :)
You're such a killjoy Tink, I love running away! Seriously, very nice....yes, we can't escape our problems but sometimes it's a great adventure trying to. "Trapped' a word I am not fond of at all...very nicely pen'd my friend, good to see you back!
