Hidden Treasure..

Hidden Treasure..

A Poem by PP
"

May be I am looking for treasure of a different sort..

"
Mind takes a plunge
To dive in deep
Looks for pearls of wisdom
Hopes to find the hidden treasure
That once belonged to a pirate ship
Believed to have sunk..centuries ago..
Down it went with the wreckage

Scattered were the jewels
When the chest hit the rock bottom
The jewels now glorify the sea..

Many divers take frequent plunges
They see the jewels
They see the glory
They wish to carry some back home
But they get distracted
They lose sight of the in-valuables to marine beauties
Elements of nature
Excites their heart
No reason
No logic
Plans disappear
Beauty takes over..

They swim up
Either happy or disappointed!
Happy- Because they found treasures in other things
Disappointed - Because they couldn't get any home
I don't know yet- What do I get out of my plunges?
May be I am looking for treasure of a different sort..

Seems we all look for different things when we dive into life.. not just the ocean. Each of us values this and that in life at different levels, whether possessions or relationships or whatever. Your poem is one long and wonderful metaphorical example of asking and answering at the same time.

Beautifully set out, thoughts open to study. Thank you.
