It's the waiting I can't stand!

It's the waiting I can't stand!

A Poem by PP

Feels as if time has stopped
Because the clocks aren't moving.
I am so looking forward to that particular moment
To reveal itself
To let me know where I stand
That my heart has almost stopped beating.
Earth might have been busy today
Circling around the Sun
But my world has come to a momentary hault.
The ball is no longer in my court
But I can say that I have given it a jolly good kick
My very best shot!
I pray that on the other side, the receiver
Is empathetic and passionate
Pass the ball back to me and;
Break the anxiety walls
Of my mind which is not thinking at the moment
And a heart full of zillion emotions.
I don't like secrets
I don't cope well with suspense
Hit me with the news
Good or bad
I can handle the outcome
But it's the waiting I can't stand!

Thank you Ami :)
It has always fascinated me how time seems slower to us when we want something or when we don't want to be somewhere. I think that you show us that here with your poem in a very palpable way. We can feel how this burden of time affects you in these lines: "Earth might have been busy today/Circling around the Sun/But my world has come to a momentary hault."

Those lines are my favorite overall. I think that paint a pretty profound image :-)

Haha
I have no patience either. I want a plan and do it. Waiting is hard. Time seem to go on forever. I like the emotion and the desire of the poem. To know the outcome. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Thank you Coyote and I am glad that I am not the only one who often finds waiting hard:)
'Hit me with the news' I can feel your impatience right in that line alone. Well done, I did get that feeling that 'waiting' is not your strong point throughout, I am not a very patient person either, I related to this as well. Nice read. :-)
