My Morning Coffee

Have you had your morning coffee today?

A cup of coffee I love 

Every morning I wake up 

I add an extra shot 

And drink it piping hot! 

While I blow away my cigarette smoke. 

Ah, the attitude of the morning cuppa!!

Is divine and out of the world 

Its slightly grumpy 

But undoubtedly strong 

Gives me the kick that I need 

What a morning feed?!?!

I was once complimented by someone 

'You look sexy in the morning 

With an extra strong coffee in one hand 

And a f*g in another!!'

O for all the wrong reasons 

I love the morning coffee season!

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but find it amusing that this is the poem I settle on this morning. I'd intended to sleep in, since I have the day off, but that didn't happen, damn it. Anyway, this is one of those poems that rouse a chuckle from me and remind me that all poetry doesn't have to be so flippin' serious. Kudos.
