We Can Not Travel through time

We Can Not Travel through time

A Poem by Paul Seaman
"

.. i wish I could, but i fear what i would do ..

"

We Can Not Travel through time.

       with our bodies.

They are corporeal

       we are immortal

           in the light of Christ.

I cannot travel to see the beloved

          of my life,

   with my body,

          this time...

I will Visit you

          my beloved,

in the quiet moments

       where i am alone with

          you in my thoughts.

i will touch you

       with Astral Hands

   and emotive

       digits

i will see the indwelling light behind your eyes

and caress,

       your breast

       your chest,

   you will feel me,

but i will not be there.

Except in your heart

       apart

   from my earthly shell

       where all true feelings

              dwell.

Achingly beautiful.

I know you wrote this about your wife who passed but I can feel it as a poem of longing for the "soulmate" I have yet to meet. He's "somewhere".
