Paper Dolls

Paper Dolls

A Poem by Paul Seaman
"

... so many sheets, so little time ...

"

Paper Dolls

Perforated Edges

       Bright Colours

              Static Shapes.

We pop them out

       When we need

              a relationships

                     or two.

To Create 2-Dimentional life

       where all the pieces fit

                 into our Dollhouse

                     .....

Will you be my paper doll ?

I will play with you every night

              and twice, on Sunday.

it will create a beautiful picture         'n

        Ken & Barbie

   will be jealous...

Author's Note

Paul Seaman
there are so many potential allegories to this , throw one out, pop another one in, sheets and sheets of choices, and such. But I have trouble adding to this poem, as I like it this way, short and sweet ... thoughts ???

Short. I think leaving it just as it is leaves the reader their own choice of meaning behind it. Leave as a humorous bit with a touch of irony or as deeper thought with all too much truth in it. Much like a paper doll it's all up to the creator.
