The Universe will Provide

The Universe will Provide

A Poem by Paul Seaman
"

...another recipe for life from the poetic chef...

"

when it comes to lessons

       the universe will provide

when it comes to provisions

       the universe will provide

when it come to love

       the universe will provide

Each to our own merit

Each to our own need

Each to our own desire

in a balance

     scale

so sublime

     that even the blindfolded Goddess

     of Justice

     can not divine...

--naked to the truth

       we all stand --

The Universe will Provide

   in equal Measure

       All  --

The question:

       What are you asking for

       What do you need

       And Whom

               do you serve     ?

This type of writing reminds of the works by Khalil Gibran, an exceptional Lebanese American poet and artist whose philosophies spanned from creation to love to friendship and so much more. The last stanza in this poem makes one think about one's own philosophy of need, want, and desire. Great poem!
