Cooking Truth

Cooking Truth

A Poem by Paul Seaman
"

...the proof of the pudding is in the taste...

"

Truth

       is like an onion.

We peel

   one layer

       and another

          till we get

              to the core.

---Then Nothing---

   So we start another

perhaps another

and when we are done

   we take our onions covers

chop them up

   sauté them

       for Soup

          or something else

   delectable.

For you see

the pleasure of truth is not finding the core

       but digesting the layers

the taste of truth in bitter & sweet

       and the cooking

          is never complete !
