The Other Side of Forever

The Other Side of Forever

A Poem by Paul Seaman
"

middle, ending, and more ending

"

The Other Side of Forever

I exist on the other side

In a river of love and lust

I reside.

Shrouded by a feeling I cannot hide

Enveloped by a strength I cannot deny.

I have traveled from state to state Searching for my place of grace.

Where I can be, one with the Spirit

And the land that lives within it.

Alas, I am afraid

My house is not where my bed is laid

But it is upon a distant shore

Of God and love forevermore.

I will find

A suit to fit

I will choose

A land to live.

But the grace that fills

My momentary joys.

Will have to wait"

Till forever is past . . .

For me to find

My home at last.

for you see...

Love is never enough

Life is never full enough

without the joy

of fulfillment.

to fulfill the obligation

of Love

we must do what is right

what is hard

what is just

the nuts & bolts of Living.

Love is never enough

to save a marriage

Save a child

Save a life

from an early

or inappropriate demise.

Love is the fuel

Devotion is the tool

but application is the key.

Love is never enough

Love is but

the Start....

A Celestial Being Spoke to me the Other Day and said:

Love the Loss

i wondered about what she meant, and then i realized...

How can I love all of Life

If i can not embrace

it departure ?

How can I know

- the power of touch

- the majesty of shared embrace

- the gratitude of affection

without it being

gone -

For a time...

It hurts to love the loss

to embrace the reed

that was once a shoot

of desire.

I do not know how to do this,

but I will try..

To Blast

My everpresent Heart

the rainbow of shimmering colours

My breast creates

into the Abyss of loss..

 I will shine

the light

  that is my life

on this reed

so this fiery love may escape...

and regenerate

alight

as a honeybee

on a Sunflower

to create new life.

Thank You:

it is three poems shoved together, as I often find I have to have longer pieces for Spoken Word...
This is beautiful. It induces hope in someone. It's simple and perfect. Love is truly diverse.
