Suddenly, a blip.

A message!

A little strange to have one pop up

Out of the blue, so quickly.

"Hello there, How you doing?.."

Well, she's cute,

In her one picture.

But her profile is pretty much barren...

"Good.  Just trying to figure out

How to start a conversation

With someone with an empty profile.

How about you?"

"I'm good thanks, I'm [NAME] btw,

So what are you up to?.."

Again, pretty quick.

But I can't complain.

Self-esteem, growing.

Suddenly this doesn't feel so bad.

"Hi, [NAME].  I was about to go to bed, but I can stay up a bit.

Oh, and I'm [NAME].  Nice to meet you."

A pause.

"nice meeting you to [NAME], 

So what are you up to?.."

"Uh. Still... about to go to bed.

Not much I guess."

Hmm.  May be not too bright--

But I guess I can give her a chance.

Had something mildly amusing happen today. Trying something a little more humorous to lighten the tone.

we can be whoever we want to online...there is that secrecy behind the screen or sitting in front of it---the manipulation of the keyboard...but in person...we are who we are...and once discovered...there can be huge disappointment---the mask is off.
