Chemist In The Waves

Chemist In The Waves

A Poem by Jonhoi Vaughn

I stooped into shifting silt,

Scraping a loose foundation at the base of my feet.

Clouds frowned at this;

Pompous and hyperbolic in anger and intent.

I too drowned;

Hypnotized by the scoop of sand, gathered in my clasped palms.

The sea is an almighty chemist

Stirring me into its microchosm,

Changing me.

Perhaps drinking me in the sands of time.

I die.

But only for today

So that tomorrow, I can say, "I have lived".

Mugen

Asymptote

Enigma

Forever

The Yawning Chasm between

Four lips, two brains, one heart.

One hundred angel sighs;

For the hundredth time;

Love.

I love this. It's pretty simple what words like these do to a wondrous heart.
