Love to Sand

Love to Sand

A Poem by Robby

                  Love to Sand

Would that I could give voice love,

to every grain run out of my glass,
to put some back to put glimmer in lost memories
tides of time are strong, currents rush in,
wash away what sand is left ,
to hold to for a moment to try shape love
that will last before tides of time come in,
to take from hands what love is left,
to hold to til last grain falls.

Hello Robby.... Wow this is really deep.... I don't know when you wrote this but shocked at no reviews...
I so understand this piece... We try to hold on what age inevitable will take from us.. Love is the only real thing we are able to hang on to but alas it also can fade.... Keep writing.. Loved this.. You make me want to start up here again.. I have not written in several years but surely miss it.. . Thanks for posting this piece to share.. hugs, Rose
