Mist and the sleeper

Mist and the sleeper

A Poem by Oyomoy

I don't want to shut my eyes.

Something's here,
In this wet road,
In these wet grasses,soft and low.

I look over the vast field,
A jigsaw puzzle by the farmers hands,
Mud and wet,
A canvas for the setting sun,
Yellow,red,orange and gray:
Mix;
And let the air flow.

I set my eyes at the east:
Night's crawling in,
And the stars are knocking the heaven;
In dark deep blue.

Here,let the mist unfold,
And let the cold embrace,
And when the Moon arrives,
Let silence overtake.

When i shut my eyes-
Let the owls sing,
And let the dew fall over me:
Replacing my eye-shed misery.

And let me sleep.
