A Christian's Battle

A Christian's Battle

A Christian's Battle
By Sarah Kirby

I don't see the world like they want me to.
Judgment and mistreatment, that's what they put me through.
I'm a mistake, I'm a screw up, I'm an abomination.
But I see beauty in all of its formations.
I enter other's stories to get inspired.
While those who haunt me have not been empowered.
I fly on the backs of knowledge and truth.
It is sad that this is forbidden by the youth.
They believe there is no right or wrong.
But how would one know how to belong?
To be enlightened is to be human.
To be unique is supposably inhuman.
To fit in one must follow society.
Why should I do that when they always lie to me?
You push me down and label me and show my pores
When you get to mock my believes, but I respect yours.
I wasn't put on this earth to limit others or to judge,
But to express my faith to those who won't budge.
