In a Dark place

"It is the dark alone that can place blackness in our hearts, but it is the compassion in our souls that can bring light in a dark place."

 

The dark is resting here,

Overshadowing my calming slumber,

Nothing but stillness,

Stillness and black despair,

It glooms me to a defying sadness,

A sadness that blackens my heart,

Deep down, this grief and sorrow brings pain to my mind.

In my aguish and torture,

Chains wrap tightly around my purified body,

But there is a sparkle in this domestic suffering,

A light,

Compassion deepens within my soul,

Carrying pleasure and content,

It contains blissful joy

That can bring light,

In a dark place.
