50 word story

It was a dark and drizzly Tuesday when they arrived. From the heavens, they came down with promises of vast riches and technology centuries ahead of our own. We trusted them and helped them but the first chance they got they slapped the chains on us and we were doomed.

I like how you gave lots of detail. It gives enough to allow the audience to make assumptions about what is happening without giving away the whole entire story. I liked it.
