Even If

Even If

A Poem by Ollie
"

Little scribbles during English class.

"
It's dark today, the lights went out
Beyond my room, I can't find a light
But even if I did, it wouldn't ignite
And even if it did, it wouldn't be bright
Even if it was, it wouldn't survive-
few things do in the bleakest of nights-
But even if it did...

Who knows what could be lurking in the dark?
Keep the lights off, use dark as a mask,
don't light up or illuminate what will soon pass.
