Quietude

Quietude

A Poem by Otimbeaux

In the spring of all sadness

I am the wheel of life.

Where there is silence, I sing.

Where there is death, I dance.

In the chaos of cowardice, I blossom.

In the emptiness of embarrassment, I laugh.

Against isolation,

Against distance,

Division -

Sorrow -

Abandonment -

My story runs.

Straight. Paced.

My run is storied.

Wrecks of fallen -

Buckles of floors -

Amidst cults,

Amidst carelessness,

In the tears of the soul, I glimmer.

In the fears of the headless, I glow.

Where there is slander, I am truth.

Where there is sacrilege, I am sanctity.

I am the will of life.

And the source of all joy.
