Day of the Moon

Day of the Moon

A Poem by Martin Ostar

The moon wavers in the light
The birds sing to their delight
In the gaze of the old face
We let the darkness be memory
I sit  on a park bench
Fighting my indifference
Staring into space, into the sky
I have  stopped thinking
When I do look back
A picture of you evolves
Laughing and then looking serious
The close of your eyes
The touching of your lips
And here I go again
Spinning in thought circles
Trying to find the way out
Of this circus of feeling
Trying to fight the coming of the day
The facing of reality and truth again.

I really enjoyed this entire poem.

"Spinning in thought circles"
My favorite line, it seems to sum everything up quite nicely.
