Diary of the Lonely (Part 1)

Diary of the Lonely (Part 1)

A Poem by Martin Ostar

She sat in the chair
Smiling at the voice
From far far away
She heard those sounds
The echoes of the empty walls
Saying nothing far too loudly
She has a glisten in her
And in her lips
A taste though distant is distinct
And she smiles as your name comes up
In her memory or was it her heart
At least you think it was a smile
As she moves in her cage
And locks herself up further
You forget where you have left your key
She turns from black to gray to white
She is an empty unlined page of mystery
Whose anthem is silence.
