The Call

The Call

A Poem by Martin Ostar

I want to be
What people call successful,
I want to be
What people call famous,
I want to be
What people call rich.

I fight to be
What people call successful,
I fight to be
What people call famous,
I fight to be
What people call rich.

Now I am
What people call successful,
Now I am
What people call famous,
Now I am
What people call rich.

But people,
Don t call any more.

Everyone always ends up alone, it's only a matter of how hard you grasp to hold onto the fake reality that you are loved.

Could just be the Mtn Dew + Tom Petty making me say that, but I thought it fit.
Anywho, good work. Keep it up!

Dang. This poem thrives from it's simplicity and yet the last line makes you reread it a couple times so you can put your jaw back into place. This is REALLY cool. Ha. So going in my favorites.
