Annhilation

Annhilation

A Poem by Osiris

Quake enliven, The ground below,
Rocks will tumble, Row by row.

Handle on life, Slipping fast,
Do what you will, To avoid the blast.

Among the living, Souls on fire,
Life is apparent, my one desire.

Everything a blur, My eyes burn from sight,
of a streak of fire, I am blinded by it's light.

And just when I reach, solid ground,
Another my way, That same horrific sound.

Landing very near, Pieces head toward me,
My heart beats wildly, how can this be?

My world obliterated, Before my very eyes,
By something so simple, The universe tells lies.

One by one they shatter, All my priceless dreams,
Neighbors cowering in fear, Doomed so it may seem.

When calm awakens me, My nerves of steel amok,
Tension overcomes me, the ticking of a clock.

What will happen now? Another rain of death?
My home in utter ruins, Nearly catch my breath.

I see a shadow over me, large and looming still,
I fear it's come back for me, Right over the hill.

I see it! No!Run! It musn't take my soul!
I run with Satan behind me, Trying to escape the woe.

And now I cannot move, All I see is white,
Was I paralyzed... From this awful plight?

It can't be so, say I to me,
My arms are bound, In spite of me.

All around, Shadows of fear,
That beast is somewhere, Somewhere very near.

So now I sit, With white all around,
Wondering when it'll come, And again take my town.

I have no particularly intelligent reflection to part to you. It's beautifully written.
