Life

A Poem by Orpheus

Is a life truly worth living?

Is there truly worth in life?

If nobody understands your sayings, can you truly utter them in confidence?
If no one can appreciate your art, is it truly beautiful?
Why should a person go on, if nobody will encourage them?

Why should chivalry live, if it is only  regarded with suspicion?

Why should a gentleman live in todays society, when there are no ladies to accompany them?

If love goes unrequited, why should love exist?

If there is only pain....

What else is there in life?

Must a man live

In a world like this?

The world seems cruel

When viewed by a poets eye

Through a romantics tears

And through a friends hopeless gaze.

Is this world

Truly what we live in?

Where mankind tramps upon that which is beautiful

Why should we try to preserve it?

When death is the only true release.....

Why does mankind continue to live?
