Invisible

Invisible

A Poem by Orpheus

I stand in front of you
Wave my arms
Scream and shout
But your eyes
Blue as a clear spring day
Look straight through me
Not even seeing me there
I don't know what I did
To deserve such a punishment
The changes in you
Went by unnoticed
Breaking us apart
Leaving me
In a place
Where one should never be
Those piercing blue eyes
The loveliest eyes I've ever seen
Stare through me
The unwanted specter from the past
You want to forget
A ghost that you won't accept
Leaving me behind
Putting a gap between us
Held together
By a single thread
Our meetings are tense now
Neither want to be there
Now
The thread has snapped
Our love gone
Now you look straight through me
With those eyes of yours
As if
I'm
