Skyline

Skyline

A Poem by OriginAwesome
"

Feeling nostalgic about my city... driving home from friends one day....

"
I saw the sunrise today
Driving down Lake Shore
Reminds me of that song
Sitting on the dock of the bay

Like remember when we were little
Going to the beach here was so dope
I got mad love for my city
Windy city of lost hope

I get why people are drawn here
The buildings, the culture, the crowds here
The facade, the mist, the curtain, the lies here
People literally die every day here

I don't see black, white, yellow, nor brown
My city is soaked in red

I saw the sunrise today
