an autumn  sun wanes

over fallen fields of golden grain,

 harvest time has come again,

 all across the fields and plain,

 golden husks of crispy corn with hoary mane,

 with this bountiful feast a price we must retain,

 a price for good times to come without refrain,

 over whispering field hides a terrible shame,
