Dreampipe.A Poem by Oregon123When you fall asleep you dream. When your mind goes fuzzy And you eyelids start to sway Things get thick and muzzy And you are quite washed away Down the pipe of realms unseen You start your peaceful trip Wandering through different somnus dreams Down and you slowly drip You pass through quiet meadows And abandoned rusted parks and places of joyful play viewing broken dreams, and fears in final throes As you pass along your way The little lights in the sky With a million little nets To small for the human eye Sell what they can catch Above the Stygian cloak of night In markets in the stars Faces of legend argue and fight For what we claim is ours And often we dream Malignant predators in the deep Strike at us in clotted stream To infect us while we sleep Every ocean must meet the land And every river a shore And thus at the alarm clocks bidding We awaken refreshed once more © 2016 Oregon123Author's Note
