Saved From Herself

At school her life seemed perfect

High grades and a group of friends

She laughed at the silly nonsense

Her happiness seemed to never end

She never asked for anything

And always gave her best

But sometimes she sat and wondered

Why cant I be like the rest?

The other girls were all so pretty

And they never felt alone

Deep inside she envied them

But this could never show

She thought she never be good enough

But she knew she had to try

In the end she only hurt

All she did was cry

Although she never asked for much

She needed something she couldn't deny

Someone to save her from herself

Without that, she could've died

It's unfortunate that many are led to feel as this when they have so very much to offer!! We all have positive attributes to offer to others, and it is their loss when they do not see the worth of a friend.
It is better to be "yourself" and not try to conform to the opinions of others!
