Tell Me, Tell Me

Tell Me, Tell Me

A Poem by Your Teaship
"

In all honesty, I'm not sure what this is. I'm sitting here on the computer in this office while my grandmother is in a meeting! Now I'll watch Hannibal! :)

"
Where are you this time?
Have you left for some place better,
or do I no longer matter?
Tell me, tell me, what can I do?
Laying here waiting, listening for you.
Every whisper is a demon I chase down;
down, down, down - until I've reached my end.
Even then I'm stuck between two worlds,
but sometimes it's easier to play pretend.
Tell me, tell me, what can I do?
I'm still searching, needing you.
Though my heart is torn raw,
I stumble and crawl -
I'm still so far from where I want to be.
Where are you this time?
Have you left for some place worse,
or have we been under the same exhausting curse?
Tell me, tell me, what can I do?
I can't save myself when I'm too busy saving you.

I love the way you incorporate the repeating lines. This poem has deep emotion, vivid imagery and a sense of palpable insight. The way you words form together is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
