Something almost everybod thinks at 1 point in their life...
What is home?
Is it the place you live?
Or the place you belong?
Is it the place you feel most peaceful?
Or the place you feel most welcome?
Is home the place you'll never see again?
Or the place you see everyday?
Is it your childhood house?
Or your grown-up home?
Is it the place you were brought up?
Or the place you bring up your own children?
Is home the place that holds many secrets?
Or the place with lots of memories?
Is it the place you always dreamt?
Or the place your dreams came true?
Is it the place you love the most?
Or the place you miss the most?
Is home the place where it all began?
Or the place where you want it to end?
Is it the place with all your family?
Or the place where you see your friends?
Is it the place where you can hear the wind whisper?
Or the place where it's always alive?
Is Home the place where you can be you?
Or the place where you're most happy?
Is it the place where you can be completly alone?
Or the place where you're always noticed?
Is it the place where everyone is friends with everyone?
Or the place where there are still lots of people to meet?
Is home the place that's in your heart?
Or the one that has a special place in your soul?
Where is home?
Wow! Um actually I never thought about, "what is home?" But after reading this, i probably will think about it more lol. Very powerful and so many questions.....how did u think of all those questions to go with this poem lol..... anyways i loved it, awesome write. :)
Home is where we feel comfortable and totally at ease with ourselves. Not sure if that answers your last question, but for me, home is a concept. Not an actual physical place that we can see or visit. Your poem successfully challenges the readers on many levels to define what home means to them. Leaving no easy way out. Thank you for sharing this thought provoking poem with us.
I'm amazed at the depth of the questions you pose here. Your piece made me stop and think more than once...seeking the answer in my own soul. Which means you've done your job as a writer here - affecting the reader. For a smoother flow, however, you might consider reworking some of the lines to remove the repetition and make it feel less like a list of questions and more the pondering of your soul, which is what it is. Still a great write, the questions you pose here showing you have the heart of a writer.
