Regrets

Written when I was a bit depressed and I hated myself for not doing something, though I don't remember now what it was that I didn't do.

One thing I could have done,
But didn't,
One thing I could have asked,
But didn't,
One thing I could have said,
But didn't,
One chance I could have took,
And didn't
And how I wish I had,
And how I hate myself for not,
I could've been happy,
I could've been smilin'
All because of one thing,
All because of one emotion,
All because of,
Fear.

Well stated, well written and excellent revelation of truth....Fear should not hinder but help. This is very stimulating writing and is full of sad imagery...most people will or at least should be able to identify with the content...That is a good thing...I found this poem to be artful, powerful, and written well. Wow, baby girl, this is deep. We all have regrets, and fear has to be the worst of them, because it stops us doing so much. It's what we do once the fear is gone that counts the most. So many people will identify with this because it is so true, sad, but very true. You have written it well. Loving it. XX
