Into The Darkness

Into The Darkness

Into The Darkness
_______________

Reclined on Earth
Darkness enveloped sight
Only bodies above
Looking at me with a thousand eyes

Lights that don't luminate
Darkness that sparkles
Waltzing alone
Forever married

Thoughts of flight
Dreams of my future
Coats my mind like
An oil dipped hand

Secrets someday told
For now yours to hold
Looking to the darkness
To one day see the light

My time is up
But only for now
Returning to my life is a must
Good night stars

Very pleasant to read. Paints such a nice picture of stargazing. The seeming "inconsistancies" such as
"Lights that don't luminate/Darkness that sparkles" and "Looking to the darkness/To one day see the light"
truly make this an interesting read. Not the same old cliche's. Liked this a lot.
