Hello, little one

Hello, little one

A Poem by Ric Miner

Hello, little one. Welcome. I can hear you giggling from where I'm sitting and it's lighting the path to my heart.

Even though you are not mine, just a glimpse my way proves to be all I need for momentary bliss, and I forget. That life happened. Or should I say happens. No matter, from what I gather, you're not there yet.

I hope you remember, remember the light you have now, both in spirit and in mood. All that your little heart shares now, with all those around you. Choose to follow it, and you will find it accessible at any time. Place faith in it and know, this particular virtue has little to do with knowledge and much to do with action.

So run, little one. Run with the light. Stay, little one. Stay with the light. And don't forget, that today, you lit my path with your laughter, and eyes.

About
Mostly a poet and lyricist. I'd say I'm here because I'm looking for an outlet, and feedback, since my friends are sick of being a sounding board, and I'm pretty sure none of them are Engl majors lol... more..
