Entry 9. Polyfullagia

Entry 9. Polyfullagia

A Chapter by Ric Miner

Polyfullagia

The never ending job of Filling the inner void with something of this world.

The human condition, in all of its might, will have you believe this, that, and the many. Yet somehow, we're just tagging along for the ride.

Like an automated coat of skin, it effects our existence by playing puppeteer behind the scenes of the neural network. We know something's there, but like the name of things long lost, we just can't place our finger on it. At every turn, it beats us to the punch. Leaving in its stead, a second guessing of what it is to be human in the first place. Nestled In between ourselves and the condition which defines us is, what seems to be, an emptiness; Enter, the Void. The condition has a way of whispering to us "fill it up, so you can be whole" but it's a bait and switch. While you take whatever you can to fill up the void, the condition lies in wait, feeding off the remains of whatever enters, so the Void stays empty, and your job continues. In light of this, there are only two outcomes. Make peace with the Void, and wish to enter it, or continue the work of polyfullagia, and never find what it is you're truly looking for.

About
Mostly a poet and lyricist. I'd say I'm here because I'm looking for an outlet, and feedback, since my friends are sick of being a sounding board, and I'm pretty sure none of them are Engl majors lol... more..
