Changes For A Better Tomorrow

I'm hearing everyone out
But all I am hearing is doubt
We need a change
I know this might sound strange
But we need a change to survive
A change that can keep us alive
For we have fallen in a state of confusion
Let's put a final end to this illusion
Here is the solution
We look to the future not to the past
We strive to be number one and not last
We look to a future where we can band together
I want to make everyone a believer
You have the power to change yourself
Take this new power and change yourself
Live for TODAY and not yesterday
Keep to this path so you do not stray

This reminds me of Man In The Mirror by good ole MJ. I love how it repeats over again, it sort of reiterates what you have to say. And capitalizing "TODAY" puts more emphasis on that, which was a good move. This poem is very relevant, seeing as the world looks like its crumbling under our fingertips. Society, the environment, etc. are all deteriorating, and I think this is a wonderful empowering poem to try to make a change for the better
