The Kiss on the Cheek

The Kiss on the Cheek

A Poem by Harrison Sherif
"

Written as a response to a dream I had.

"

I lie down on the ground

Feeling the sun and not hearing a sound

What I felt next was just so sweet

When she kissed me on the Cheek

I look up towards her

As if I couldn't believe her

That feeling was so sweet

That kiss on the cheek

I laughed and smiled

I thought it would last awhile

But it was all bitter sweet

That kiss on the cheek

It all faded away

The sun, given away for gray

Oh how bitter sweet

That kiss on the cheek

It wasn't real, all a dream

But how real it all would seam

Reality is so bitter sweet

With a kiss on the cheek
