Undeniable

Undeniable

A Poem by Victoria
"

This is very different from most of my poetry, so...

"

Silent tears are denied their escape,

Everything is held inside.

What can I do now?

I'll break eventually...

But not in front of you.

Never when you can see.

When my tears finally fall

It will be my own fault.

For not being strong enough.

I put on that careful smile,

My porcelain mask is in place.

Because anything else will break.

If you won't try to see through it

Why should I open up to you?

No point in spreading my pain.

No one deserves what I feel

So I'll keep it locked away.

At least... until I can't.

But never again will you see my soul

I already bear enough scars.

It's not your fault, I promise.

I should've learned my lesson.
