. . A wolf once elegized a lighthouse, in stream of consciousness script - more semicolons in it than periods, less prose than parentheses. And yet, it was the art in it that gave it magic - its color and its impressionism - a story of such delicate detail; a biography, in spirit, that went out of its way to blur dialogue with thought, time with experience and its memory with dreams. . . I wouldn't know, but I suspect when it was published, to much exaggerated chagrin, most of the herd had been outraged, to see that a wolf had wrote it - no bones in its cavern, no mange in its skin - and, to add insult to injury, that many of their little fauns had been howling, pretend, or that in their spare time had exchanged antlers for pens. . . .
