Feeling both sympathetic,

Because they have no idea,

This poem really strikes a chord in me. This has happened to me many, many times, and I usually try to change the subject or I get up and leave. Can't stand it when this happens.

Yes, it seems an inherent part of interacting with some people - certain things can be relatable, enjoyable even, but in others, especially those that are uncomfortable or difficult to discuss, it is undoubtedly less so.

I hope you come across the former more so than the latter, and once again I enjoy hearing your thoughts
