Cigarette smoke climbs over a clouded Eden - A garden of laid brick, Stacked and stalwart, Beneath a breeze And crescent-moon, Midnight imbued wind. . In the cool drift above the final storey - From the rooftop apotheosis And atop the city's summit - Satin clings to the bared skin Of a self-same cold shoulder And emancipation drops her half finished cigarette . To go barreling after its shoe. . . .
