.
.
Roll the bones my love -
.
How does the star's fate fare pray tell?
.
.
Have you spoken to the fishes?
.
Have you word from the current?
.
.
Roll the bones my love -
.
So we mightst listen to the feathered whisper,
.
Pull sound from the down lips of theirs, its plumed and winged flight.
.
.
Have you consorted with the butterfly?
.
Have you learned of her cocoon?
.
Her payment on those days o' colored life,
.
Of her drowning amidst monsoon?
.
.
Roll them, love -
.
.
Throw runes so you mightst catch
.
The antlered crag of low bravado -
.
Throw upon the cosmos,
.
Upon the heavens in theirs sky,
.
Throw testament upon the spinning loom
.
And dare its cloven reply.
.
.
Throw them, love,
.
And we might dance to the tune
.
Of the parching rot of Yggdrasil,
.
Of its drinking Urðarbrunnr dry.
.
.
Throw them, so that you with I
.
Might dis-collar ours, the tethered war,
.
Upon theirs loathsome, emptied pride -
.
.
Break wine upon the bow of scuppering,
.
String ours, sails rent, and dis-anchor from the lie.
.
Throw, so we may go, arm in arm a-wailing wild-thing syn
.
And thread this thirsting camel through the braying, needle's eye.
.
.
Roll the bones, my love -
.
Throw feather, and throw stone -
.
Tip the glass on ruination
.
And roar your mirth for home.
.
.
