And there she goes,
Dancing a ballet masquerade
On an empty and cold glass stage -
Traipsing her forest floor footprints
And plethora of picturesque portraits.
There’s an angel in there,
A Boudicca amongst the ferns
And a duchess atop a bed of thorns.
And though I do this much too often,
Illustrate odes to emulate the Shakespeare,
Though I expect she hears it much too often,
Foreign compliments across the table,
I still feel compelled to reassure,

Champions persevere.

For clarification,

"the Shakespeare" is an adjective, not a title.

This one is one of my absolute favourites. I just can’t get past the imagery, it’s so beautifully written.
