They are not common.

By that deceitful content, by the moments of camouflaged satisfaction

That until they are gone, you are completely incapable of having the self awareness to identify them -


Those great loves,

Self defining loves.


To expect another to fall before your feet

At every bend in this godforsaken road

Is an act of selfish defiance to the rule.


You are only given a few great loves in a single lifetime;

There is only so much joy to spare when crawling from one end to the other.


Know this.


And expect nothing less.
