Since you Left Me

Since you Left Me

A Poem by Nathan Weaver
"

Lyrics for female voice, about a love lost but knowledge gained.

"

Since you Left Me
[female voice, guitar, piano, drums]

(chorus)
You gotta admit
I'm doing pretty well
You gotta admit
I'm looking pretty swell
You gotta admit
I'm doing pretty good for my self
Since you left me

(verse 1)
The pieces you scattered
Have helped make sense of my life
The life you almost ruined
Shines now that I am not your wife
Life could have been worse,
I could have married you
It could have been worse,
I could have longed for you
When you left my life
Things are better now
Since you left me

(chorus)
You gotta admit
I'm doing pretty well
You gotta admit
I'm looking pretty swell
You gotta admit
I'm doing pretty good for my self
Since you left me

(verse 2)
I'm not bitter
I appreciate the mess you made
I hold no grudge
Though the memories never fade
I am who I am
Because of the pain you caused
When you were around
And when you left me

(instrumental break)

(chorus)
You gotta admit
I'm doing pretty well
You gotta admit
I'm looking pretty swell
You gotta admit
I'm doing pretty good for my self
Since you left me

Yeah, I'm doing pretty well
Since you left me

Thos are some sad poignant words, and something that explains a lot of my life. Very touching...I would love to hear the song that goes with it. Is there a melody?
