Benmiester's Quest

This is a scifi spoof a friend of mine and I have worked on over the years. This is a short film/episode intended to be used as a test for animation. If anyone does animation, I'm up for a conversation-because we can't.

Benmiester’s Quest

Test Animation

 

EXT. SPACE. Maybe a few planets or moons in site. A SPACESHIP flies by the screen. CUT.

 

INT. SPACESHIP, THE BRIDGE. CAPTAIN BENMIESTER is on the BRIDGE with BECKY (his arch-nemesis).

 

BECKY

Captain Benmiester.

 

BENMIESTER

Admiral Rebecca Ann Perry, my arch-nemesis and villainess of the universe.

 

BECKY

Yes, that is my name.

 

BENMIESTER

So it is just you and I now.

 

BECKY

Yes, it is.

 

BENMIESTER

Let me tell you a little story, Becky. Do you mind if I call you Becky?

 

BECKY

Yes, I do mind.

 

BENMIESTER

So, Becky, once I was driving along in my land-cruiser with a buddy of mine and he made the most ridiculous remark. I naturally looked at him with the sort of face that screams, “You have got to be kidding me!” Well, my sarcastic glare took my attention away from the conflict in front of me… the road. I drove off into a ditch, over an embankment, off a cliff and into a lake. My face was pretty dinged up. But it was okay, because I got to meet a charming young nurse during rehab. She was a cute little thing—

 

BECKY

Can you get to the point, so I can get to the part where I kill you?

 

BENMIESTER

Well, come to find out from a random guy in a club called the Guardian of the Dancing Cow God, the nurse wasn’t really a woman at all. You see, Becky, it turned out that she was really a giant leech with a vendetta against men. Luckily, I escaped her grasp with only my ego damaged. I was even able to neutralize the leech with environmentally friendly weapons and return to my home planet, where I live with my aunts Thelma and Louise. They baby me a little, but I don’t mind.

 

BECKY

You always get that story wrong. I was never a leech and I do not have a vendetta against men. 

 

BENMIESTER

I know… and you can just imagine how my version of this story will end.

 

BECKY

Is that it? Are you finished? Can I kill you now?

 

BENMIESTER

I cannot die. I… am… the hero. And, we’re all out of time this episode.

 

BECKY

Huh? What?! NO!

 

BENMIESTER

Tune in next time kids for another exciting adventure in Benmiester’s Quest!

 

BECKY

Wait!
