I Never Could Imagine

I Never Could Imagine

A Poem by Vee
"

Pretend you are a butterfly when you read this. :~)

"

In a dull cocoon my body waits to be released.

My mind wanders over and over again the possibilities of what the world could be.

No light shines through; no colors bright.

All I see is black and white.

I know someday my prince will come for me

bringing colors for us to be,

and share.

And when he comes he'll crack this old cocoon of mine,

and I'll burst out; metamorphasized.

I'll be a beautiful creature; wings reaching out far and wide

My oh my I will fly!

High above the clouds I've dreamed of.

High above the sun I've heard of.

High above the colors I've suddenly become.

I'll see treasures and kingdoms;

places you could only create in your mind.

But first I must be sure that my prince will never leave me.

Who is he?

He is the Almighty Butterfly.

Someday he shall be mine,

and I his.

We'll live happily ever after

soaring through the clouds until life itself is over.

Oh, and in case you were curios...

We truly did end up with the perfect happy ending.

He set me free

and we roamed so far to see

whatever we could possibly see!

It was the very best fairytale!

In my short life I never dreamed

that my prince would fall in love with me.

But he did.

Oh, but he did.
