Across The Universe

Summer 2009

I slid across the universe to meet you
because I thought this was important.
People roam for hundreds of years;
from body to body, life to life,
Searching for the connection we have.
It's not about perfect timing;
Adoration carries no watch.
And just because we are both
scared and unprepared
doesn't mean the waves will stop.
Maybe we are naive
because we think we know best.
We keep saying this is bad timing,
and we'd be better off living in ignorance
