Christmas PersonificationA Poem by RunsWithCatsSomething I wrote for English class...It's supposed to be a personification poem...I hope I get an A... :-)
The Star of Bethlehem On this night Christ is born. The sky is dark and three men follow my glow. Many hear the news and rejoice. Christ is born. I must glow bright so that the Magi will find me. They are on their way to this special place, The place where I will lead them. Some may think of me as a simple comet, A brilliant supernova, or maybe even the planet Uranus, But I know of my importance and how great this night is. Many will write of me and how after the King Herod learned of His birth, The three wise men heeded the King’s adviser and left to the nearest city, Bethlehem. I lead the three gracious men, And they find the new born king. His mother holds her beloved baby, And the wise men pay him homage and give him gifts. On this night the Christ is born, And I am the very Star of Bethlehem That led the three wise men here. © 2009 RunsWithCatsAuthor's Note
