FALLING OFF

FALLING OFF

A Story by Miss Sharon

FALLING OFF

She could only hope the landing would be easy.
One never knows about these things.
Never having done this before,
She could only wonder what it would be like.

Dressed in her best black gown...
The one she had worn to "the other wedding,"
She remembered the ceremony
As though it were yesterday.

He was dashing as always in his
Form fitting tux, snug to the throat tie,
Shiny black patent leather shoes
And a smile that was to die for.

When she walked down the isle and
His eyes met hers, it was clearly apparent
That his heart and soul were already hers.
As they turned to greet the priest

And the ceremony was about to begin,
A hush filled the church in sweet anticipation.
Everything would have been perfect if only
They had not fallen head first off the stage.

Laughing - oh you, what a finale!!! There was me thinking how dramatic and wonderfully laid your words were and then, naughty friend, you turn your story into a fine comedic finish. Much applause and a wide grin!

LOL Jacob. Even though my husband is a retired pilot, I have never jumped out of an airplane and do not intend to! Thanks for your review. ~Sharon

even from the beginning of this, Sharon...I saw someone parachuting out of an aircraft...
Hoping the parachute would open....I jumped out of a few planes/ relationships...
and landed just a little shook up but no heart bones broken.
